Line Commentary

Simple white grace. No blame. At the height, ornament becomes simplicity again. Pure white needs nothing added. The return to unadorned truth.

Commentary

Simple white grace. At the highest stage, all ornament is discarded. Perfect grace consists not in exterior ornamentation but in the simple fitness of form—pure white needs nothing added.

If Line 6 changes, Hexagram 22 Bi (Grace) transforms into Hexagram 36 Ming Yi (Darkening of the Light).
